Cav’s Garlic Overload Omlette Hi Everyone. This is my first entry into “The Nomming”, which is my “Garlic Overload Omlette”.
It requires the following:
- 2 Eggs- 2 Slices of Cheese (any kind) - Pepper - Garlic Powder (or 1 clove of Garlic - not a whole bulb, that’s too much even for me) - Butter - Ham (I used Christmas Ham, but you can just use a slice or two of Cold Cut ham).
Now this may require some adjusting when actually preparing it, but here goes:
1. ) Start off with a frying pan that should contain a little bit of butter to grease it. Change this to an oil (Corn, Canola), to suite any particular health outlook. The flame for this should be set to medium (or maybe about 200 degrees).
2.) While waiting for the butter to melt, crack 2 eggs into a bowl. I like to kind of get rid of all that stuff that comes with the yolk, but if you want to keep it, that’s also an option. Beat the eggs until ready to poor into the pan.
3.) After pouring the eggs into the pan, add some pepper and about a tablespoon of Garlic Powder. It’s important that this be added after you’ve moved the eggs from the bowl to the pan. If you do before, it will cause the eggs to stick and won’t all pour in. Now, if you have actual garlic, you can cut a clove and place it in the pan as well (I imagine the flavor will be sharper).
4.) Take about 2 slices of ham, and add them to the frying pan as well.
5.) Two slices of cheese can be added too.
6.) Start scrambling. Be sure that as you find the cheese melting, you add more garlic powder. After about 3 to 5 minutes of scrambling, it’s ready to serve. I myself like to add A1 Steak Sauce to my eggs. :)
Enjoy.
