Thanks to crimsonmuse for inviting me.
This is somewhat of a tradition in my family for the Holidays. First, my mom and sisters would make them.I now make them here. My wife once brought them to her office, and they were such a hit, everyone asks about them each year. So, I make pralines for her coworkers.
Mama Guilt’s Pralines
2 Cups Sugar1 Cup Brown Sugar1 Stick Butter1 Cup Milk2 Tablespoons Corn Syrup4 Cups Pecans1.    Combine everything but the nuts in a saucepan.2.    Heat and stir until it reaches “soft ball” stage on a candy thermometer (234°)3.    Add Pecans and stir. It should be a slightly thick consistency. 4.    Spoon onto wax paper
